Katko, Balter Focus on Healthcare Days Out From Election

Beyond the sound bites alleging “Balter’s healthcare plan is extreme” and “Katko voted to end the ACA”, the two candidates in the neck-and-neck race for the 24th Congressional District have different perspectives on two tenets of healthcare: prescription drug pricing and pre-existing conditions.

Both say they want to lower the cost of prescription drugs; both say they want to cover pre-existing conditions, but each sees a different path to getting there.

NY-22: Brindisi Leading Tenney in Siena Poll

Democratic Rep. Anthony Brindisi holds a 9 percentage point lead over Republican former Rep. Claudia Tenney in a Siena College/Syracuse.com poll of likely voters released on Thursday morning.

The poll showed Brindisi drawing 48 percent of support with Tenney receiving 39 percent. Libertarian candidate Keith Price drew 4 percent in the poll.

Hochul Endorses Cobb; Troopers PBA Backs Stefanik

Democratic congressional candidate Tedra Cobb later on Tuesday will be endorsed by Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul in her campaign against Rep. Elise Steanik.

Gordon was endorsed by the union's 9A New York Area Cap Council, which represents about 37,000 active and retired UAW members and families in the state, including 1,500 people in the 2nd congressional district on Long Island.
