State lawmakers are back in town as the budget discussion will likely heat up.

At 8:45 a.m., Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul will make remarks at the United Steelworkers District 4 Rapid Response Legislative Conference, Hilton Albany, 40 Lodge Street, Albany. 

At 10 a.m., Westchester County officials will join to support local businesses and local community in Bronxville near Lawrence Hospital. Park Place Bagels 2, 52 Palmer Avenue, Bronxville.

Also at 10 a.m., there will be a briefing to state lawmakers and their staff members on the local Medicaid proposals in the 2020-2021 Executive State Budget. Legislative Office Building Room 120, Albany. 

At 10:45 a.m., state lawmakers will hold a panel discussion on improving higher education in New York. Legislative Office Building, Room 711-A. Albany.

At 2:30 p.m., New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams will join the advocates from the commuter van, or 'dollar van' industry outside the Taxi and Limousine Commission headquarters to call for increased enforcement against illegal and unsafe drivers after a Brooklyn cyclist was struck by an illegally operating van on Saturday. 33 Beaver St, New York City.
