Democratic state Senate candidate John Mannion on Monday is set to roll out a pair of labor endorsements.

Mannion will be endorsed by the IBEW Local 43 and Teamsters IBT Local 327.

Mannion is running to replace Republican Sen. Bob Antonacci in a Central New York state Senate district that Democrats have come close to flipping in prior elections.

Antonacci departed the state Senate last year after winning a judgeship.

Mannion is making his second bid for the seat. He has previously endorsed unions representing Auburn police and firefighters, the CWA, NYSUT, Ironworkers Local 60, AFSCME Council 66, among others.

"I am very proud and humbled by the outpouring of support from my brothers and sisters in organized labor," Mannion said. "Our community deserves a voice in Albany and a Senator who will fight for our priorities and get real results. I look forward to earning the voters' support on April 28 and representing the 50th Senate District for the rest of this Legislative Session. With the strong support of these unions and my constituents, I know we will win this Special Election."

Mannion will face Republican Angi Renna in the April 28 special election.
