New York Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy endorsed Wednesday GOP Assemblyman Dan Stec in his run for the 45th Senate District seat.

This seat is currently being held by Republican Sen. Betty Little who is retiring after this legislative session.

Stec also has official party endorsements from four of the six different counties that are encompassed in this district, Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Warren. Multiple local and state elected officials have also come out in support of Stec.

“Dan delivers results for his constituents,” Langworthy said in a statement. “He’s exactly the kind of champion we need fighting for a return to common sense in New York State, and I’m thrilled to endorse him for state senate.”

There are two other Republicans running for the seat: Kevin Bearty, a retired English teacher, and Cambridge Village Mayor Carmwen Bogle.

There is also one Democrat running for the seat, Kimberly Davis, the Clinton County Treasurer. Davis announced her candidacy in May.

Stec has held his Queensbury Assembly seat since the beginning of 2013.
