A documentary film starring and produced by Western New York political consultant Michael Caputo will air on the One American News (OAN) network this weekend.

The documentary, titled The Ukraine Hoax with guest host Michael Caputo, explores the United States foreign relationship with the Eastern European country. According to the release, the exposé prominently features the Maidan Massacre, “a mass murder still unsolved in Kyiv” which led to the ousting of President Viktor Yanukovych in 2014.

In the film, Caputo discusses the connections to former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, questions that consequently lead to the House impeachment of Donald Trump.

“With an impressive and long list of exclusive one-on-one interviews, Michael Caputo reports that America’s Ukraine problem didn’t start with a telephone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In fact, it started years before when America meddled in Ukraine’s elections,130 people were assassinated - and Ukraine then interfered in our presidential elections,” the release said.
Caputo said when he flew into Ukraine with his film crew in mid-August, 2019, he didn’t know how topical the documentary would remain even today.

“As I arrived, the CIA whistleblower had filed his complaint and official Kyiv was already on fire, quietly burning up the phone lines to Washington,” he said. “Strange things happened all around us that only made sense in September, back home - the Democrats were setting up impeachment and our documentary film was right in the middle of it all.”

Caputo worked on the Trump campaign in 2016. A close friend of convicted operative, Roger Stone and a cooperating witness in the Mueller report, he has been a vocal critic of Democratic efforts to impeach Trump and go after his allies with federal investigative resources.

Although he was not directly involved in the Trump-Ukraine scandal, Caputo has also repeatedly talked about the mental and financial toll cooperating with the House and Mueller’s investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election has taken on himself and his family.

“Needless to say, I’m suddenly back in the fray,” he said. “This is not how one stays out of harm’s way in a political climate bent on destroying anyone standing up for the President of the United States. But here I am.”

Caputo said as he worked on the documentary, it was clear he couldn’t fit everything into a 50-minute special and is also releasing a book on March 1. The documentary airs Saturday, January 25, at 10 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. PT, with an encore presentation on Sunday night at 10 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. PT.
