Democrats are celebrating the passage of New York state’s Equal Rights Amendment and three U.S. House pickups on Long Island, in the Hudson Valley and in Syracuse. The congressional victories were quite a shift from 2022 when Republicans flipped those very same seats.

According to Andrew Grossman, of Battleground New York, one of the main drivers behind this cycle’s victories was the group’s ability to raise $11 million and knock on more than 800,000 doors in the run-up to the election.
Grossman discussed the group’s approach to the election with Capital Tonight host Susan Arbetter.
