The Rockefeller Institute and the Center for Women in Government & Civil Society will hold a conference on immigrant integration efforts in New York state next Wednesday, May 22.
The role that immigration will play in the next presidential election, as well as how New York is handling the influx of migrants, has been covered extensively by the media, but not how migrants are fitting into our communities.
This conference will focus on the policy solutions that will help communities and policymakers integrate immigrants into our economic and social fabric.
Dina Refki, executive director of the Institute on Immigrant Integration Research & Policy at the SUNY Rockefeller Institute of Government, joined Capital Tonight's Susan Arbetter to discuss the conference which is called Leveraging Opportunities for Immigrant Integration in New York State.
It will take place from 1-5 p.m. at the University at Albany Campus Center.
