President Joe Biden will be in Yonkers over the weekend with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and other New York Democrats for a final push to get the party's voters to the polls with Election Day just days away.
Sources told Spectrum News 1 that Biden will visit the region on Sunday.
It's the latest in a string of visits from the sitting president to parts of the state in just the last few weeks. Biden visited Central New York to tout Micron Technology’s $100 billion, two-decade investment last week as the company plans to build a major memory chip manufacturing facility in the region. Shortly before that, Biden appeared in Poughkeepsie alongside Democratic incumbents running in competitive House districts in the Hudson Valley.
Hochul was in attendance to both of those events, a Democrat facing an unexpectedly competitive election.
Along with Biden, the governor's race has attracted large political names to the region on her behalf. Vice President Kamala Harris and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stumped for Hochul in New York City on Thursday night.
Sunday is the last day of early voting in New York. Election Day is Tuesday.
