First Lady Jill Biden will visit New York state over the weekend to give remarks at political events, including one with Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney and congressional candidate Robert Zimmerman.

Biden will be in Mount Kisco, in Westchester County, on Sunday with Maloney, the chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Maloney is running for New York's 17th Congressional District seat, which includes parts of Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Rockland counties.

The race has gotten attention in recent days as the DCCC earlier this week planned to spend $605,000 on TV ads attacking Maloney's opponent, Republican state Assemblyman Mike Lawler. This came after the Congressional Leadership Fund, the super PAC aligned with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and all of House Republican leadership, said it would be spending $4 million in the New York City broadcast market to defeat Maloney.

Robert Zimmerman is running in New York's 3rd Congressional District, the Long Island seat that is being vacated by Rep. Tom Suozzi.

The visit from the first lady comes days after President Joe Biden visits Syracuse.
