There has been some significant pushback from economic development reform advocates against the Buffalo Bills stadium deal.

Capital Tonight spoke with Charles Khan, organizing director at the Strong Economy for All Coalition about how such subsidies have historically impacted communities.

“For the subsidies, the stadiums won’t create long-term sustainable jobs. The St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank did a study and they said when a professional sports team comes to a particular area it has about the same economic impact as a mid-sized department store,” Khan said. “It’s the same for when it leaves.”
