U.S. Rep. John Katko tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday, the Republican congressman announced on Twitter Monday morning.

"I am fully vaccinated and boosted, and am thankfully experiencing only mild symptoms," Katko wrote.

Katko said he will be voting by proxy in Washington this week and working from home as he recovers.

"My constituent service team remains available and ready to serve," he said.

Several members of the New York delegation have tested positive for COVID-19 recently, including Reps. Antonio Delgado and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
