Governor Andrew Cuomo took a swipe at President Donald Trump during a resurrected coronavirus briefing Wednesday.

Near the beginning of the briefing, Cuomo addressed the increase in cases of the coronavirus in a large number of states, saying President Trump needs to take responsibility for what is happening on the national level.

At the same time, the governor pointed out that cases of the virus have dropped and remained relatively steady in New York for several days. Beginning today, he says, testing criteria has been expanded to all New Yorkers.

Despite that, Cuomo also said local governments need to do a better job of enforcing social distancing and other measures designed to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. He also announced the state will be creating a department designed to help improve local enforcement of coronavirus prevention methods.

While many areas of the state have entered Phase 4 and are now allowing indoor dining, Cuomo has decided to postpone indoor dining in New York City until the situation improves there. New York City has seen more cases of the virus than other location in the country.

The list of states from which visitors to New York will have to quarantine was also brought up during the briefing, with Cuomo saying those flying into the state will be asked to fill out a form with information on where they are going and where they are staying. This will give the state the ability to conduct random checks to make sure travelers are staying in quarantine.
