Democratic attorney general candidate Zephyr Teachout on Wednesday was endorsed by prominent political activists Mark Green and Judith Enck while also picking up a nod from the Dutchess County Democratic Committee chair.

Teachout is making her second bid for the Democratic nomination for attorney general after the seat became an open one following incumbent Letitia James' entrance into the race for governor.

Green is a former New York City public advocate who ran for mayor in 2001. Enck is a former regional administrator at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Teachout was also backed by Elisa Sumner, the chair of the Dutchess County Democratic Committee. All of these endorsements come on top of the backing Teachout has received so far from figures like Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, environmental activists Bill McKibben and Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan.

"I'm so proud to add the support of these three trailblazing leaders," Teachout said. Whether it's protecting the environment, standing up to injustice or helping elect Democrats to all levels of office, Mark, Judith and Elisa have all played crucial roles in helping push New York in the right direction. I'm so excited to have them on my team."
