Ski resorts can reopen in New York beginning November 6, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Sunday.

The resorts must operate at 50-percent capacity, he said.

Masks will be required at all times except when eating and drinking. Ski lessons are limited to no more than 10 people. Gondolas and lifts will be limited to people in the same party.

Capacity on mountains must be reduced by 25 percent during peak days or if multiple trails are closed.

Cuomo encouraged people to ski in New York and avoid going to other states were COVID infections are higher and travel quarantines are in effect.
