The re-election campaign of Sen. Mike Gianaris raised $84,855 in the most recent reporting period, almost entirely from small-dollar donors.

Gianaris, a Queens Democrat and the deputy majority leader in the state Senate, received 2,560 contributions, with more than 98 percent less than $100.

The average contribution: $33.

“I appreciate the support of so many who believe in people-driven government fighting to level the playing field between powerful interests and everyday New Yorkers,” Gianaris said. “Together, we will keep fighting for a recovery that works for those who need it most by ensuring New York is served by a government that puts people first.”

Gianaris's campaign has $491,908 in cash on hand ahead of the June 23 primary.
