Mayor Eric Adams officially launched his reelection bid.

He was surrounded by faith leaders and supporters on City Hall steps, as he looks ahead to the November general election.

This comes just days after Zohran Mamdani received a majority of first-round votes in the primary and is on the verge of securing the Democratic nomination.

Frank Carone, the former chief of staff to Adams and a longtime ally and confidante of the mayor, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to discuss the mayor’s reelection efforts and more.

“He did call candidate, the Democratic nominee, Zohran Mamdani and he deserves his day to celebrate and celebrate his victory,” he said. “But like many [sports] fans who watch their teams celebrate after a championship game, the Super Bowl is still here to come November 4.”
