Tensions continue to grow between the public and federal immigration officers across the nation and in New York City.

On Sunday, two New York congressional lawmakers were denied access to a federal detainment center in Lower Manhattan. The lawmakers expressed outrage after their request was denied.

They suspect undocumented immigrants are being held in overcrowded, inhumane conditions.

Rep. Nydia Velázquez, whose district covers both Brooklyn and Queens, including all or parts of Long Island City, Astoria, Sunnyside, Fort Greene, Greenpoint and Williamsburg, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Monday to discuss more.
