A new Siena College poll finds Gov. Kathy Hochul’s popularity has hit a new low among New Yorkers.

According to the poll, one in three likely voters sees Hochul favorably, which is a 5% dip from last month’s poll. Also, 39% of the 1,000 New Yorkers polled approve of her job performance, which is also down from 46% in August.

That’s the lowest it’s been since Hochul took office in 2021.

Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg joined NY1 political reporter Ayana Harry on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to talk about what this means for Hochul and a close look at polling on the race for president.

“New York is a state where 49% of the enrolled voters are Democrats, only 23% are Republican,” Greenberg said. “Yet, in three years, Kathy Hochul has never had a favorability rate that has hit 50% or higher.”
