Former President Donald Trump returned to court Monday for the start of the second week of proceedings and opening statements.

He is being charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in New York.

The case alleges he hid “hush money payments” to cover up his affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels from voters.

John Coffee, a professor at Columbia Law School, joined NY1 political reporter Ayana Harry on “Inside City Hall” Monday to discuss more.
