The November elections were considered a victory for the Working Families Party in New York. After working energetically in the wake of much tougher eligibility standards passed by the legislature, the Party succeeded in retaining its automatic ballot line. Moreover, many of the newly-elected members of the super majority in the State Senate ran on the WFP line.
